Cultural Art Pop-ups are co-hosted with the Tucson Museum of Art. All Pop-ups are free of charge.

Art-Pop Up Dates:

  • November 12th @ 11:30am - Flores De Papel Lesson & Communal Art Project

    With: Josefina Lizarraga & Jean Ramirez. Demo starts at 11:30 in the Tucson Museum of Art’s Patricia Morgan & Peter Salomon Sculpture Garden. Community members will learn to make Flores De Papel and add their creations to a community wall of intentions to be on display at the Sosa-Carrillo House

  • December 10th - Virgen de Guadalupe History & Altar Creation

    With: Jose Duran. In partnership with Davis Bilingual Elementary School, students will walk the Tucson Museum of Art for an after-school program pop-up where they will learn the history of the Virgen, why the Mexican community creates altars for December 12th, and how to create an altar. Students will work in groups to build and decorate their own altars. Altars will be on display during the Tucson Museum of Art’s 2nd Saturday on December 12th.

  • April 12th - Fiesta de Los Barrios Art Tent
